Our deep retrofit project in Kinsale, County Cork.

This is a radical transformation of a fairly mundane split level bungalow is in a beautiful setting overlooking the River Bandon estuary and Summercove. We’re proposing to remove the existing conservatory and other unsightly additions over the years; extend outwards in a few areas to create more generous bedrooms and living space. A two storey extension in place of the conservatory will provide an additional guest bedroom with an office space on the floor above for the client to work from home and enjoy the prime view from their desk.

The refurbishment works will also include sustainable measures such as external wall insulation, airtightness and a ground source heat pump. The house will have new glazing throughout, crisp white render and the slate shingle upper facade is a nod to the historic Georgian townhouses of Kinsale and Summercove.
