The Boathouse

Refurbishment of a slightly dilapidated house over 3 levels. The house had a number of unsightly alterations and additions over the years including being split into flats and required a complete overhaul.

The new proposal moved the bedrooms from the top entrance level to below to allow for a new combined kitchen/dining/living area that opened out onto the huge terrace to take in the amazing views over the River Wharfe and countryside beyond. All existing windows were upgraded with new large aluminium framed units to maximise daylight into the house. The existing timber balcony and solid bulky railings were replaced with sleek contemporary frameless glass balustrades that allow uninterrupted views from inside to outside.

The alterations are a significant upgrade to the house and has turned what was once a bit of an eyesore into a riverside gem.
