Blend & Grind Kennedy Town

This is Blend & Grind’s latest and largest project to add to their locations on Hong Kong island. The design was to utilise the ground floor unit of Townplace Kennedy Town tower. Keeping the rough finish of the shuttered concrete the design highlights this with the washed wall lighting. The rough and hard surface is then softened with the feature ceiling design of the open timber frame wrapped in greenery. The bar design takes inspiration from the local architecture incorporating the terracotta tiles, which can be found on the roofs of older homes in Hong Kong. These provide a softer and warmer feel to bar against the raw concrete in the space.
