Luah, Hong Kong — Retail Interior Design & Brand Space

A pop-up that stayed

ŌDDD's first commission for Luah was a pop-up retail design at K11, launched in July 2025. Temporary by design — but the store drew people in, and the footfall spoke for itself. When K11 approved an extension, what began as a pop-up had quietly become a permanent presence.

Four weeks

With K11 performing, the next step was a permanment store. Luah secured a unit at Hysan Place. The timeline was four weeks from appointment to opening.

Taking over an existing unit with a tight date for delivery, ŌDDD made a considered early decision: retain the existing ceiling and floor. In doing so, avoiding the extended programme and budget impact of bringing in nominated sub-contractors for building services and kept the programme on track: no NSC delays, no budget creep.

The retail space design was completed in the first week. Submission followed. Approval came the week after. With a fixed opening date and factory lead times to manage, the team moved ahead with production.

The result? Luah opening in Hysan Place in time for Golden Week, October 2025.

Back in budget

The most complex commission in the Luah relationship has been their new headquarters on Shin Hing Street. ŌDDD inherited a concept design that had run 40% over budget. Rather than starting again, the team took the existing concept and developed it through to detailed drawings, reworking the specification and delivery approach to bring the project back within budget without losing the design intent.

Growing with the brand

Alongside the flagship projects, ŌDDD is also working with Luah on a pop-up store design for Shanghai, with fixtures designed and manufactured in Hong Kong and shipped directly to the installation team. It is the kind of brief that reflects where the brand is heading: growing fast, moving across borders.

In two years, Luah has gone from a single store to a multi-location brand with a presence in two cities — each one a different brief, met with the same creativity, dependability and delivered on time and on budget.
